Easy SEO: indexing your site on Google

How google helps you screw google!

Absolutely! I am not drunk, and neither are you! Google literally helps us to screw Google on the searches! Google actually lets you add your URL or Uniform Resource Locator on to their index so that anybody who makes searches that are relevant to your site and your site's content will be lead straight on to your site! So that means not only added traffic, but higher page rankings, better business, and a much better web site! This makes for much better and easier SEO!

The web site could be a blog or anything for that matter. Sub-domains are not a problem.

How does Indexing on Google Work?

The way it works is, google crawls and indexes all the new content and pages it sees every time it does. This means Google's GoogleBot actually updates it's archives of the internet every time it makes a "crawl". This is the only way Google will survive, because if they don't do this, their most relevant searches will be unanswered or will turn out absolutely irrelevant results.

So that means relevant results came for the 7-11 terror attacks on the net on 8-11 only because Google Bot crawled the web in between that time! Doesn't Google make Search Engine Optimization look so easy? Its like they offer all the tools, and if you're well informed about them , you are the SEO expert!

Will all sites added be indexed by Google?

This is a very interesting question. But according to Google, as they mention on their site, they do not add ALL URL s on their Google index. This is primarily because of robots, that are designed to spam the Google index with URL s. So Google devises its own clever mechanism to detect such spam frauds and eliminate such impostors and spammer sites. However, we can be confident that sites like your's and mine will be indexed successfully by the Google Bot without any hassles or problems at all! This is because of the usual but simple and strong word verification that Google relies upon so much to detract spammers and robots!

How fast does it take?

This depends on the Google Bots crawl timings. You can conceive the Google Bot as a man who takes his dog for a walk, on the internet. You really can't predict when he might go out for the walk He might take him out when the dog wants to pee, or when he feels like getting some fresh air himself!

But the Google Bot crawls pretty often, and crawls deep when it does so, so any minute and minuscule sties will also appear on the index within a few days of submission!

However, Google again plays safe by saying there is no specific time frame and they refuse to commit to anything!

How do i index my web site on Google?

GO to this URL.

http://www.google.com/addurl/

Enter the URL of your web site in FULL in the space provided. This includes http:?? and www for most sites.
for my blog, it would be :

http://www.techmechanic.blogspot.com

There is an option to add a few comments and keywords that describe your website or blog or whatever. This is important, I feel so at least. Google claims that they do not use this and these do not affect the search queries or results, but I prefer being safe!

Remember, you need to add the main page's URL only. The Google Bot will crawl through the sub pages of the site and index them automatically. So this makes SEO life a lot more easier!

Thats abou it for this SEO update folks. I'd advise you to keep looking out for SEO posts on my blog, so taht you can implement them and increse the rankings of your blog or increase your web stie rankings on google and yahoo and other search engines as well.

Cheers,
The Techmechanic...!
